Terrace on 10 Bartender - Hilton Aruba Caribbean Resort & Casino
The Terrace on 10 Bartender ensures the bar and service stations are impeccably set, maintains par levels and product quality, prepares espresso drinks and cocktails to recipe and standard, and completes accurate POS transactions and cash handling. You protect the serene, adults‑only ambiance, support access‑control standards, and uphold Hilton, Aruba health regulations, HACCP, and responsible alcohol service requirements at all times.
What will I be doing?
As a key team member of the Terrace on 10 department, the Terrace on 10 Bar Tender ensures the bar is fully prepped and stocked, crafts signature and classic cocktails, prepares gourmet coffee beverages, and performs accurate POS transactions. This role requires high attention to detail, passion for hospitality, and a proactive service mindset.
· Prepare, present, and serve beverages to brand standard: signature/seasonal cocktails, zero‑proof options, beer, wine, spirits, premium waters.
· Execute mise en place and daily opening/closing checklists: requisitions, par maintenance, garnish prep, juice batching, glassware, tools, sanitation, and equipment checks.
· Maintain recipe accuracy and pour controls; calibrate jiggers/flow, follow SOPs for batching, ensure allergen and dietary labeling compliance on garnishes/mixes.
· Provide proactive, personalized service: greet by name when possible, suggest pairings/upsells, and narrate the Terrace on 10 story and beverage program.
· Support access control (adults‑only): validate eligibility (wristband/room), manage capacity cues, and coordinate with the Host & Reservations Liaison.
· Monitor guest sobriety, verify identification, and apply de‑escalation and recovery techniques; follow Responsible Service of Alcohol and incident reporting.
· Partner with Culinary on breakfast buffet beverage service (juices, coffee) and sunset reception hors d’oeuvres pairings.
· Maintain cleanliness and organization of bar, back bar, refrigeration, and storage; complete temperature logs and cleaning schedules.
· Accurately process POS orders and payments; follow cash‑handling, voucher, and bank drop procedures.
· Complete weekly inventories/stock counts; rotate product (FIFO), minimize waste, and report variances.
· Communicate effectively with teammates and leadership; attend line‑ups and required training; contribute ideas for seasonal menus and events (tastings, mixology classes).
