Senior Lead Software Engineer - Content Management System

What are we looking for?
The success in this role will demonstrate itself through the following attributes and skills:

• Advanced knowledge of Enterprise Content Management systems
• Demonstrated exceptional initiative, creativity, and innovation skills
• Ability to craft an efficient solution with a variety of sophisticated methods/skills with significant autonomy
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to work effectively with diverse teams
• Excellent technical problem-solving and debugging skills and ability to balance competing demands
• Knowledge of Atlassian Stack, Docker, Bamboo, and using Git as version control with a team

To fulfill this role successfully, you should demonstrate the following minimum qualifications:

• Seven (7) years of work experience in Technology or a related field
• Six (6) years of experience developing large-scale web applications using Java, micro services, multi-threaded programming and has a good understanding of web design patterns
• Five (5) years of experience working with at least one Java-based Content Management System (BloomReach Experience Manager, OpenText TeamSite, Adobe Experience Manager, etc.)
• Demonstrated ability with Data Modeling, Configuration, and Customization of a Content Management System

It would be helpful in this position for you to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions:

• Bachelor’s Degree, or Associate’s Degree plus 6+ years of Technology related experience, or High School Degree/GED plus 12+ years of Technology related experience
• Ten (10) + years of work experience in Technology or a related field
• Any major Content Management System professional certifications
• Experience working in various applications that are part of Hilton's content ecosystem (The Exchange, Service Now, Cloudinary, etc.)
• Experience in SQL and NoSQL databases (Couchbase, MongoDB), Messaging architectures (Kafka, Redis, etc.), and front-end UI frameworks such as React, Angular, etc.
• Proven experience in building RESTful APIs and understanding of REST principles
