What are we looking for?

Success will demonstrate itself through the following attributes and skills:

  • Ability to exhibit strategic leadership/ vision and develop effective leaders/ teams.
  • Strong situational awareness leadership and accountability.
  • Familiarization and experience with Data as a Product concepts and implementations.
  • Strong knowledge and background in data platform technologies including big data, data warehouse, master data management, data mart, business intelligence, data pipelines, and modern data analytics tools.
  • Ability to transform the organization from traditional reporting platforms and teams to a modern analytics platform and modern data product platform.
  • Excellence in influencing broad technical and business discussions and decisions.
  • Critical thinking approach to address a broad range of opportunities across people, process, and technology.
  • Strong collaboration and networking skills.

To fulfill this role successfully, you must possess the following minimum qualifications and experience:

  • Ten (10) years of professional work experience in Technology or related field
  • Eight (8) years of experience designing and implementing big data and modern analytics architecture, platforms, and solutions
  • Experience building and leading engineering, architecture, and platform teams to deliver, deploy, and maintain operational (SQL and NoSQL) databases and data stores, data warehouses, reporting systems, and advanced analytics and data science platforms, tools, and technologies
  • Experience transitioning people, process, and technology from legacy data platforms to modern platforms
  • Demonstrated experience driving transformational change at a global scale, maturing and positioning the organization to incorporate relevant emerging technologies around the use of big data, data warehousing, business intelligence, and analytics
  • Expertise in designing and building solutions for scalability and redundancy with global considerations and scale in mind

It would be useful in this position for you to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions:

  • Bachelor’s of Science Degree, or Associate’s Degree plus 6+ years of Technology related experience, or High School Degree/GED plus 15+ years of Technology related experience 
  • Five (5) years of management experience at Vice President (or Senior Director) level
  • Background in hospitality industry
