- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the pastry section.
- Collaborate with the pastry team to ensure smooth operations and exceptional quality.
- Uphold the hotel's standards of excellence and guest satisfaction.
Qualifications:
- Experience as a Demi Chef de Partie specializing in pastry in luxury hotels or fine dining establishments.
- Strong knowledge of pastry techniques, including baking, decorating, and plating.
- Creativity, attention to detail, and a passion for artistic presentation.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
- Familiarity with food safety and sanitation guidelines.
- Must have luxury island experience or remote location living and working experience
- Possess a local or international pastry certificate, which features making and knowledge of croissants, gluten free breads, dietaries, sourdoughs, baking of biscuits, cakes and ice-creams.
- Knowledge of local Creole desserts.
- Possess modern plating skills, cooking techniques and knowledge.
- Hold a presentable, open, guest focused attitude, being able to plate in an open front of house kitchen.
