A Maintenance Specialist (Electrician) is responsible for maintaining, inspecting, and repairing all electrical systems within the hotel to ensure safe, reliable operation and deliver an excellent Guest and Member experience while complying with health, safety, and regulatory standards.
What will I be doing?
As a Maintenance Specialist (Electrician), you are responsible for the operation, maintenance, and repair of all electrical systems throughout the hotel. You will carry out preventive maintenance, troubleshoot electrical faults, and support renovation and energy-saving initiatives to the highest standards. Specifically, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks:
Responsible for all electrical systems within the hotel
Perform daily inspections and preventive maintenance of electrical equipment and installations
Diagnose and repair electrical faults, including lighting systems, power distribution, panels, breakers, switches, and outlets
Maintain emergency power systems such as generators, UPS, and emergency lighting
Ensure all electrical installations comply with local codes, safety regulations, and hotel standards
Respond promptly to electrical breakdowns and emergency situations
Ensure guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house electrical systems operate safely and efficiently
Conduct testing and maintenance of fire alarm systems, CCTV, access control, and other low-current systems (as applicable)
Support energy conservation programs and recommend energy-efficient solutions
Maintain accurate electrical maintenance logs and documentation
Coordinate with external electrical contractors and suppliers for major repairs or specialized works
Assist with electrical scope in renovation and refurbishment projects
Identify electrical hazards and take immediate corrective action
Ensure proper use, care, and storage of electrical tools and equipment
Support hotel emergency and safety programs related to electrical systems
Ensure compliance with health and safety policies and procedures
Perform special projects and other responsibilities as assigned
Maintain positive working relationships with internal departments and external service providers
