Lead Software Engineer - Android
HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

What your day-to-day will be like:
- Write clean, concise code that is stable, extensible, and unit-tested appropriately
- Leverage established architectural principles and agile delivery methodology to bring to life new business capabilities and app functionality
- Propose usage of technology trends and innovations
How you will collaborate with others:
- Collaborate with architects, product owners, delivery managers, quality engineers, designers, and other developers to craft and implement the Hilton Android app experience
- Participate in agile ceremonies including grooming sessions, daily stand-ups, retrospectives, and code reviews
- Participate in a fast-paced environment with daily commits, weekly store releases, and real-time collaboration with developers, UI/UX designers, product owners, and platform engineers
What projects you will take ownership of:
- Participate in the rebuild of the Android app using the latest technologies like Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, and UDF patterns
- Contribute to building reusable libraries, UI components, deploying and supporting Hilton Android App in production
WHY YOU’LL BE A GREAT FIT
You have these minimum qualifications:
- Five (5) years of professional experience within Technology or a related field
- Four (4) years of experience with full-cycle software development, preferably in an agile environment including design, coding, testing, release, and maintenance
- Three (3) years of experience with Android application engineering with at least one app shipped to the Google Play Store
- Experience with Android Studio, Gradle, and Git
- Experience with Kotlin and Java
- Travel up to 10%
It would be useful if you have:
- Bachelor’s Degree, or Associate’s Degree plus 6+ years of Technology related experience, or High School Degree/GED plus 12+ years of Technology related experience
- Seven (7) + years of professional experience within Technology or a related field
- Familiarity with Test Driven Development and Agile Software tools such as Jira
- Experience with REST, JSON, Dagger, Realm, URL loading, and web services
- Experience/ working knowledge with various architectural design patterns (UDF, MVVM, MVC)
- Experience with RxJava
- Experience with Jetpack Compose

The annual salary range for this role is $100,000-$140,000 and is determined based on applicable and specialized experience and location.
