Director, RMCC APAC
Position Statement:
To maximise revenue and profits for multiple hotels through the strategic coordination of revenue management processes and procedures.
To drive the continued development and growth of customer service standards, revenue and profits from multiple hotels and to deliver Hilton’s mission relating to profit, people, customer and quality.
To engage and collaborate with regional corporate team to drive commercial strategies and execute revenue management tasks across the allocated regions.
To develop and lead a highly engaged and high performing team.
Position Summary:
• Create and maintain a qualified and effective team of Senior Cluster Revenue Managers and Cluster Revenue Managers
• Ensure that sales and pricing strategies are based on sound commercial judgement through effective analysis and reporting
• Ensure professional and efficient utilization of all systems, in line with company best practices and standard operating procedures
• Ensure effective information gathering and analysis is conducted in order to identify and maximise on all possible opportunities and minimise any risks
• Ensure that relevant hotel and above-hotel commercial team members are actively engaged in all revenue decisions by maintaining regular communication to effectively implement optimal strategies and controls
• Integrate with other functions to ensure we exceed our customer’s, owner’s and shareholder expectations
• Ensure high quality of revenue management processes and communications is applied consistently
Key areas of Accountability
Profit
• Ensure all Best Practices and Standard Operating Procedures are followed to capitalise and maximise revenue potential and market share.
• To utilise systems, tools and reports in the prescribed way to ensure all revenue management decisions are supported with relevant data analysis.
Quality
• Follow Best Practice and Standard Operating Procedures for the RMCC to ensure all commercial decisions are supported by appropriate data analysis.
• Share ideas and suggestions with Senior Director of Revenue Management Consolidated Centre to strive for constant improvement of operating procedures.
Customer
• Build an effective working relationships and communication with:
Hotel Management & teams
Commercial teams (RDR’s)
Other disciplines i.e. Sales, Marketing, Finance and operations
to maintain their trust and confidence in the Revenue Management decisions and actions being taken pertaining to inventory and rate control, pricing and overbooking.
People
• Work with the RMCC Senior Director and Training Manager as required to ensure all team members are provided with excellent training.
• Collaborates closely with the Performance Support function and Analytics team to drive commercial success across all hotels
• Engages on a regular basis with the Sr. Commercial Director and other team members of regional corporate team to support commercial strategies and activities
• Consistently lead by example and demonstrate RMCC values.
• Ensures 1:1’s are conducted with the team as appropriate to accomplish goals.
• Being a coach and mentor to the team.
• Driving team performance through clearly focusing effort through objectives and targets.
• Ensuring that performance is reviewed on a regular basis, recognizing and celebrating success and refocusing efforts where targets are missed.
• Addressing performance issues in a supportive, timely and decisive manner.
• Ensuring that all people in the team are trained and equipped to excel in their roles.
• Ensuring the team presents a cohesive, structure approach to their work and maximizes profit potential, whilst effectively applying Hilton processes and systems.
• Creating a culture which motivates and encourages team members to perform to the best of their ability, minimizing conflict when it occurs
Specific Accountabilities
• Inventory Control
Manages and maintains Group and Transient inventory controls
• Sales and Pricing Strategy
Develops, monitors and adjusts sales and pricing strategies
• Information Analysis and Monitoring
Provides critical analysis of strategies, room statistics and demand factors
• Forecasting
Prepares all weekly, monthly, 3 month and budget using appropriate systems and tools
• Competitive and Demand Analysis
Ensures rate shopping data is consistent, appropriate and effectively analysed
• Driving Commercial Performance
Drives incremental EBITDA, RevPar and Fair Market Share performance
Required Skills and Experience:
· Minimum 10 years' of practical working experience within revenue management
· Minimum 4 years' experience of managing a commercial team
· Strong analytical, communication, organisation, training / coaching, people management skills
· Able to work accurately and effectively under pressure
· Motivated and motivational
· Able to introduce change effectively
