What are we looking for?
We believe the success in this role will demonstrate itself through the following attributes and skills:
- Dedicated self-starter, who takes initiative with minimal direction and understands concepts quickly
- Strong relationship leadership skills with the ability to work internally across all teams as well as externally with suppliers and industry partners
- Strong written and verbal communication skills. Able to present information to customers in a concise, well-organized manner at the appropriate level of detail for the target audience
- Strong negotiation skills and strategic business experience
- Excellent critical thinking, combined with quantitative and qualitative analytical skills
- High attention to detail and ability to understand and evaluate technical specifications, shop drawings, architectural drawings, and Hilton Brand Standards
To fulfill this role successfully, you should demonstrate the following minimum qualifications:
- Ten (10) years of procurement, supply chain, and/or project/program management experience
- Five (5) years of strategic sourcing or category management experience
- Experience managing global supply chain
- Occasional travel (5-10%)
It would be helpful in this position for you to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Procurement, or Construction related field
- Three (3) years of experience managing others
- Five (5) years of experience in the hospitality/hotel industry
- CPSM, PMP, or similar certification
