As a Cloud Security Analyst, you will bring your technical skills to a hospitality company with an award-winning culture. On the Global Information Security (GIS) team reporting to the Director of Hybrid Cloud Security, you will support projects focused on strengthening the security of our cloud environments. You will help review and prioritize cloud security findings, support secure configuration efforts, track remediation activities, and contribute to monitoring and detection capabilities that enhance our overall security posture.
What you'll do during a typical day:
- Review and triage cloud security alerts from security monitoring tools, including findings related to misconfiguration, vulnerabilities, and compliance gaps.
- Create and route tickets with clear, actionable remediation guidance for engineering and application teams.
- Track remediation efforts with platform and application owners and confirm that they resolve issues.
- Collect and document evidence of fixes across cloud environments.
- Maintain cloud security documentation, including runbooks, exception records, and step-by-step procedures for recurring alerts.
- Create reports and dashboards (for example: weekly trends, aging issues, and recurring risks) to leadership.
- Participate in recurring cloud security review meetings and support tool health checks.
- Join vendor calls to understand tool capabilities and assist with issue resolution.
How you'll collaborate with others:
- Partner with Cloud Platform and Engineering teams to coordinate remediation and implement secure configurations.
- Work with Network and Application teams to address security findings.
- Collaborate with Security Architecture, Governance Risk and Compliance, and the Security Operations Center to support risk acceptance, escalation, and validation processes.
- Support ongoing cloud security initiatives and process improvements.
Projects you'll take ownership of:
- Support weekly cloud security findings intake and triage activities, including prioritization, routing, and follow-up.
- Remediation validation evidence packages, including proof-of-fix documentation and exception tracking.
- Monthly summary of metrics for leadership visibility.
- Improve documentation and standard operating procedures.
What It Takes to Make the Stay
You have these minimum qualifications:
- Professional work experience in Technology, Cybersecurity, Cloud Operations, Information Technology, or a related area
- Foundational understanding of AWS and cloud technologies
- Basic knowledge of two or more of the following: identity and access management, Virtual networking concepts, Logging and monitoring principles, or Core security principles such as least privilege, patch management, and encryption
- This is a hybrid role and would require you to be near our Dallas office location
- Travel up to 10-20%
It would be useful if you have:
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
- Three (3) + years of professional work experience in Technology, Cybersecurity, Cloud Operations, Information Technology, or a related area
- Internship or professional experience in cloud security or cloud engineering.
- Exposure to cloud security monitoring tools or vulnerability management tools.
- Familiarity with scripting or automation (such as Python or PowerShell).
- Understanding of security frameworks such as National Institute of Standards and Technology or Center for Internet Security benchmarks.
- Relevant industry certifications such as Amazon Web Services Cloud Practitioner or Security+
