Hilton Americas-Houston is searching for a talented Cafeteria Cook to join their culinary team!

The ideal candidate will hold comparable experience as a cafeteria cook or culinary prep cook, with a solid understanding of cooking temperatures, food preparation, sanitation and safety protocols, and inventory stocking. They should demonstrate a team-oriented mindset, thrive in high-volume kitchen environments, and possess a genuine passion for culinary growth and career advancement. This is a union position.
This position will provide food and beverage service for team members, set up the food line and salad bar, and maintain cleanliness throughout the entire cafeteria area. Responsibilities also include performing side work such as salad bar setup and dessert preparation.
Shift Pattern: Full availability is required including weekdays, weekends, and holidays
Pay Rate: $15.90 per hour

What will I be doing?
As a Cafeteria Cook, you would be responsible for preparing and cooking all food items for the team member cafeteria in accordance with recipes and established standards in the hotel's effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability. Specifically, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:
- Coordinate, prepare and deliver food to be served in the team member cafeteria
- Prepare and cook food items according to designated recipes and quality standards
- Maintain cleanliness and food sanitation standards at all times
- Stock and maintain par levels for designated food station(s) according to forecast
- Practice correct food handling and food storage procedures according to federal, state, local and company regulations
- Prepare requisitions for supplies and food items, as needed
