What will I be doing?
The Beauty & Spa Specialist serving Waldorf Astoria Maldives Ithaafushi administers a full range of hair services, manicure and pedicure, Supervising salon, salon inventory, training, professional massage, provides professional skin care and body treatments, using the standards established by the resort to guests, and possess a thorough knowledge of numerous hair, nail, massages and beauty modalities.
In addition, the Hairstylist must have up to date knowledge of Hair/Nail trends and services and should be willing to execute specific offerings unique to Waldorf Astoria Spa. He/she must possess excellent communication skills and be able to learn the product and service knowledge necessary to effectively provide solutions to meet the needs of guests. Drive revenue of the hair salon and achieve retail sales targets. Specifically, as Beauty & Spa Specialist for Waldorf Astoria Maldives you will perform the following tasks to the highest standards:

Maintain complete knowledge of:
(a) Hours of operation and activities
(b) Hair/Nail services and products
- Complete Brand protocol and treatments certification process successfully
- Promotes and maintains the highest level of customer service to all guests while staying alert to their needs
- Maintain complete knowledge of, and comply with, departmental policies and procedures
- Maintain complete knowledge of Hair/Nail/Skincare products used at the Spa
- Assesses contraindications of guest that may prevent service from taking place
- Notify management of all maintenance needs in the Salon
- Actively promote home care programs, meeting maximum retail sales goals
- Maintain cleanliness of the Salon, Consultation, Retail area and Spa in general
- Perform daily routine set up of Salon and Retail area
- Assist with Monthly Hair Professional and Retail Inventory
- Carries out inductions for new team members and conducts regular training if needed of hair services
- Provide neat, legible guest information records as required for the Waldorf Astoria guest experience protocols
- Possess ability to work with minimal supervision
- Attend all required meetings and training sessions
- Follow all resort policies and procedures
- Ensure uniform and personal appearance is clean and professional
- Protect and properly use the resort’s assets
- The Resort requires that you perform any task deemed necessary by the Director of Spa for the efficient running of the Spa Department specifically and the Resort in general.
- Perform daily routine set up and checking on salon and back of the house
- Handle guest complaints by following Brand procedures and insuring guest satisfaction

Beauty & Spa Specialist serving Waldorf Astoria Maldives is always working on to ensure a great experience for our Guests. To successfully fill this role, you should maintain the attitude, behaviors, skills, and values that follow:
- To have a minimum of a National Vocational Qualification level 1 -2 -3.
- Minimum of four years of professional experience in Hairdressing, cutting, coloring, perming and straightening.
- Minimum of two years’ experience working in a renowned Hotel/Resort hair salon.
- Must hold Massage or Wellness license and certification
- Knowledgeable with multi-cultural service protocols and standards.
- Excellent guest relations and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent time management, organizational, communication and motivational skills.
- Candidate must have a good command of spoken and written English. Fluency in additional language is an advantage.
- Pays attention to details and have strong customer service skills.
