This is your chance to be part of a Corporate Human Resources team at a top global hospitality company! As a Regional Director of Human Resources, you will partner with our business leaders to attract, retain, and develop Hilton's most important asset, our Team Members. On the Regional HR team reporting to the VP HR CALA, you will serve as a business partner to the regions' senior leadership team and drive South Americas overall HR strategy including recruiting, training, succession planning, legal compliance, labor relations, compensation and benefits, team member relations, and HR operations.

HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

Your role is important and below are some of the fundamental job duties that make your work unique.

What your day-to-day will be like:

  • Acts as a senior level advisor on HR issues, providing research, development, and communication of Human Resources Policies and Procedures.
  • Acts as expert in all HR matters including labor relations, government, and third-party concerns while maintaining positive relationships with local union representatives and assisting in adjusting grievances.
  • Conducts and follows through on team member/labor relations activities not limited to investigations, systems reviews, and team member climate studies.
  • Actively presents ideas, leads the development and implementation of new projects, programs, and annual objectives.
  • Verifies TMX(HRIS) information for management database and reports for strategic decision-making on HR-related matters such as wages and compensation, succession management, and other HR metrics.

How you will collaborate with others:

  • Partners with operations on business strategies, acting as sounding board, resource, and confidential advisor. Accurately diagnoses organizational issues and strategizes with wider teams to develop solutions and tactics.
  • Engages and partners with Centers of Excellence (Recruitment, Compensation, Legal, Training etc) to ensure the efficient deployment and access to resources within the region.

What projects you will take ownership of:

  • Leads the development of training on HR issues and provides HR guidance to the properties, orienting new leadership to HR function and explaining HR policies, procedures, benefits, etc., as established in our operational policies and procedures.
  • Assesses current recruiting and hiring processes and implements strategies to generate a healthy pipeline of talent.

WHY YOU'LL BE A GREAT FIT

You have these minimum qualifications:

  • Ten (10) years of work experience in Human Resources with five (5) years of hotel operations managing large employee populations.
  • Hospitality background.
  • You are bilingual (English/Spanish).
  • Travel up to 60% - 70%

It would be useful if you have:

  • Hotel Field Experience
  • BA/BS/Bachelor's Degree
