Staff Accountant - Corporate Accounting
HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT
Your role is important and below are some of the fundamental job duties that make your work unique.
What your day-to-day will be like:
- Perform monthly close and post-close activities such as complete union calculations for hotel benefit contributions, prepare journal entries, prepare and submit wire requests, A/P requests, complete online payments, and compile data and supporting documentation for journal entries and union supporting documentation
- Partner with third-party service providers to ensure all vital information is captured, compiled, reviewed, and approved. Examples of third parties include but are not limited to outsourcing providers and auditors
- Review CBA’s and annual rate change letters from union to ensure current rates are being used for calculations. This would include making sure correct union dues are being deducted from team members' payroll
- Research and respond to information requests from internal departments, management, and external auditors
How you will collaborate with others:
- Collaborate with your manager to establish specific goals and plans to prioritize, coordinate, and accomplish project and department goals
- Develop positive and cross-collaborative relationships with finance and corporate departments
What projects you will take ownership of:

Assist with accounting tasks while gaining an understanding of processes to further your knowledge and move up in the organization
WHY YOU'LL BE A GREAT FIT
You have these minimum qualifications:
- One (1) year of experience or internship in a corporate or business environment
- Complete understanding of accounting principles
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including understanding and manipulating spreadsheets
It would be useful if you have:
- BA/BS Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
- One (1) year of relevant analytical work experience
