Education
- Professional Certificate in a Culinary related field
Experience
- 3-4 years’ experience as a Sous Chef or Junior Sous Chef role in a luxury resort/hotel.
- Strong leadership skills and ability to operate and successfully arbitrate in a complex international and multicultural environment.
- Excellent Team Member relations and problem-solving skills.
- Able to handle a kitchen operation catering in large volume
- Good planning and execution skills with ability to be persistent while focusing on detailed elements of tasks.
- Excellent time management, organizational, communication and motivational skills.
- Have impeccable follow-through.
- Organizes staffing effectively in situations of sudden increases in catering volume and other contingencies.
- Accustomed to and comfortable with media exposure
Competences
- Candidate must have a good command of spoken and written English.
- Pays attention to details and have strong customer service skills.
- Mature, meticulous, resourceful, organized and able to work independently.
- Have impeccable follow-through and “Can Do” attitude and mindset.
- Pre-opening experience in a luxury resort/hotel is an advantage
