Senior Software Engineer, .NET
HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT
Your role is important and below are some of the fundamental job duties that make your work unique.
What your day-to-day will be like:
- Collect requirements, write functional and technical design documents, build, test and deploy solutions to enhancement or correct defects in existing software
- Follow software development best practices to code and configure solutions that satisfy business and end-user requirements; enforce established coding standards and procedures
- Support end users, identify defects and potential enhancements, help plan periodic releases
- Solve production incidents and problems
- Contribute to continuous improvement efforts
- Manage OS and DB release upgrades
How you will collaborate with others:
- Collaborate with architects, product owners, delivery managers, quality engineers, designers, and other developers to design and implement enhanced business application experience.
- Participate in agile ceremonies including grooming sessions, daily stand ups, retrospectives, and code reviews.
- Partner with the Security team on vulnerability patching and information security procedures
What projects you will take ownership of:
- Planning and implementing incremental improvements to an existing financial application
WHY YOU’LL BE A GREAT FIT
You have these minimum qualifications:
- Three (3) of work experience in software development
- Advanced experience with ASP.NET and VB.NET
- Advanced experience with front-end technologies including JQuery, JavaScript, CSS, and HTML
- Advanced experience with SQL Server, especially writing and debugging TSQL stored procedures and functions
- Experience with scripting, including Python, PowerShell, or Active Reports
- Ability to research, analyze and understand existing application code
- Experience using Agile and Waterfall software development and relevant processes
- Travel up to 10 % (if applicable).
It would be useful if you have:
- Bachelor’s Degree, or Associate’s Degree plus 6+ years of Technology related experience, or High School Degree/GED plus 10+ years of Technology related experience
- Familiarity with finance/accounting practices including payment processes
- Direct experience developing applications for financial service needs
- Advanced experience with C#
