This position will report to the Commercial Director and will be the main responsible for the Revenue strategy of the assigned hotel, lead Commercial Strategy Meetings, conduct special projects as assigned, managing rooms inventory, rates and Revenue Management systems to maximize Total Revenue and Market Share, forecasting, budgeting, business planning, the preparation of month end and ad-hoc analysis and the communication of rates, restrictions and strategies to the assigned property.

The individual holding this position will deputise the department in absence of the Commercial Director, and is responsible for team supervision and training, including but not limited to Cluster Revenue Analyst and Reservations Supervisor.


What will I be doing?

  • Defining overall Revenue strategy for the assigned hotel, including all business segments as well as other Revenue driven Departments
  • Exploring Business Opportunities that drive profit, create value for clients, and encourage innovation; challenging existing processes/systems/products to make improvements
  • Providing Revenue Management functional expertise to property Area Brazil General Manager and Leadership teams 
  • Making Decisions and Solving Problems - Analysing information and evaluating results to choose the best solution and solve problems
  • Communicating Information Timely - Informing and/or updating the executives, the peers and the subordinates on relevant information in a timely manner
  • Completing weekly, monthly and full year forecasts as well as budgets and business plans
  • Analysing all available systems data to identify trends, future need periods and obstacles to achieving goals
  • Outline risks and opportunities relative to Revenue forecasts
  • Implementation of Revenue Management action plan in a timely manner
  • Generating and Delivering Accurate and Timely Results in the form of reports, presentations, etc.
  • Ensuring that restrictions, rates and strategies are modified as market conditions fluctuate
  • Preparation of the agenda and conducting Commercial strategy meetings 
  • Monitoring the compliance in terms of distribution 
  • Checking distribution channels for hotel positioning, information accuracy and competitor positioning, exploring opportunities in partnership with Marketing
  • Adopting new Revenue Management systems and tools to drive revenue and profit opportunities
  • Deputise the department in absence of the Cluster DRM
  • Manage and lead the Revenue and Reservations´ Team, as well as strategically guide the assigned Department to achieve Team and organisational goals
  • Ensure Team Members have current knowledge for all relevant processes, policies and promotions, as necessary, to perform their duties
  • Recruit, manage, train and develop the Revenue and Reservations´ Team

What are we looking for?

To successfully fill this role, you should maintain the attitude, behaviours, skills, and values that follow:

  • Min 4 years’ experience in Revenue Management on managerial level, preferably with Intl. brands
  • Degree level qualification in a relevant field (Business Administration, Finance, Statistics, Industrial Engineering, Marketing, Hospitality)
  • Revenue Management - Domain of revenue management area, processes and strategies. Skill in using Revenue Management systems and interpreting pricing and inventory reports
  • Strategic Thinking - The ability to analyse and summarise detailed data to make inferences and recommendations.
  • Economics and Finance - Knowledge of economic principles and practices, P&L statements, operating budgets, forecasting and scheduling, and the reporting of financial data
  • Sales and Marketing - Knowledge of sales and marketing principles, marketing strategies and tactics.
  • Adaptability - Maintains performance level under pressure or when experiencing changes or challenges in the workplace
  • Communication - Conveys information and ideas to others in a convincing and engaging manner through a variety of methods

  • Computer and Systems Skills: Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, Power BI, Hilton Systems preferred (GRO, OnQ R&I, OPERA, Delphi)
  • Fluent in English and Portuguese
