Senior Manager - Human Resources - Waldorf Astoria Las Vegas
What are we looking for?
- Considerable knowledge of federal/state employment laws.
- Working knowledge of federal/state and/or local regulations pertaining to OSHA and workers’
compensation. - Ability to deal effectively with all team members and employee representatives, some of whom will
require high levels of patience, tact and diplomacy to diffuse anger and collect accurate information and
resolve conflicts. - Ability to read, listen and communicate effectively in English both verbally and in writing in order to
prepare official memorandum and correspondence as well as provide clear and meaningful instructions,
guidance and counseling to all team members. - Thorough knowledge of human resources practices and procedures as well as considerable knowledge
of state and federal laws and regulations pertaining to human resources matters. - Basic mathematical skills necessary to analyze reports, forecast and prepare budgets.
- Ability to type in order to prepare written correspondence.
- Ability to travel to training sessions, hearings, etc. held in the local area.
EDUCATION
- Four year college degree preferred or equivalent experience working in a Human Resources generalist capacity.
EXPERIENCE
- Minimum of three years previous human resources and supervisory/management experience. Previous
hospitality experience preferred.
