To fulfill this role successfully, you should demonstrate the following minimum qualifications:

  • Ten (10) years of professional or educational research experience in Technology or a related field
  • Eight (8) years of research experience within fields such as optimization methods, Machine Learning algorithms, and statistical analysis for large datasets
  • Eight (8) years of experience with building and implementing advanced analytical models in data science
  • Five (5) years of specialized experience with modeling techniques such as hypothesis testing, regression analysis, time series models, maximum likelihood estimation, Bayesian inference, simulation, clustering, tree-based methods, Neural Nets, etc.
  • Five (5) years of professional experience with production environment on high-performing teams
  • Advanced programming skills in SQL and Python, and proficient with common data science Python packages (including Pandas, SciPy, Scikit-learn, etc.)

It would be useful in this position for you to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions:

  • Ph. D. Degree in Data Science, Operations Research, Optimization, Industrial Engineering or other data-intensive fields
  • In-depth knowledge of theory and practice of mathematical programming models (LP, MIP, etc.)
  • Five (5) years of specialized experience with Gurobi, Cplex, or similar optimization solvers (for revenue management focus)
  • Twelve (12)+ years of professional or educational research experience in Technology or a related field
  • Ten (10)+ years of experience with building and implementing advanced analytical models in data science
  • Hands-on experience with research and development in pricing and revenue management of the hospitality industry
  • Proficient with tools for probabilistic methods such as Stan or TensorFlow Probability
  • Publications or presentations in top research journals or conferences
  • Deep understanding of the big-data platforms, cloud service providers related ecosystems such as Apache Spark, Amazon Sagemaker, or similar frameworks

For Colorado applicants only: The annual salary range for this role starts at $93,000 and is based on applicable and specialized experience and location. Hilton offers its eligible team members a comprehensive benefits package including medical and prescription drug coverage, dental coverage, vision coverage, life insurance, short-and long-term disability insurance, a 401(k) savings plan, paid time off, and our travel discount. Subject to plan terms and conditions, you will be eligible to participate in the Hilton Annual Incentive (Bonus) Plan consistent with other team members at the same level and/or position within the Company.
