HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

Your role is important and below are some of the fundamental job duties that make your work unique.

What your day-to-day will be like:

  • Complete data analysis tasks to include, data profiling, source to target mapping, and development of Data Quality rules for ingestion and enhancement of data assets.
  • Create, coordinate and complete data testing plans and activities during the data development lifecycle to ensure data assets meet business requirements and are ready for deployment to users.
  • Support ongoing maintenance of data assets by performing in-depth analysis and determine causes of incidents and share findings and recommendations with Data Operations and Engineering Team.
  • Develop subject matter expertise on our data assets and maintain documentation on data assets to include, developing and maintaining metadata of data assets across domains in a logically structured and easily understandable format.

How you will collaborate with others:

  • Work as part of a Focus team with members of Enterprise Architecture and Data to include Delivery Leads, Data Architecture, Engineering, Modeling, and Data Operations to organize work, articulate tasks, risks, dependencies, and data/project mitigation plans to ingest, enhance or decommission data assets in our Cloud Warehouse environment.
  • Work with end users of our data products and provide support and education on how to best work with our data products.
  • Partner with Data Governance to ensure data meets all data classification, legal and security requirements.

What projects you will take ownership of:

  • Work in focus/agile teams to build and deliver new data assets to be utilized by the business to support business analysis and reporting.
  • Develop communication and data education materials for use by partners and data end users to promote understanding and proper usage of our data assets.

WHY YOU'LL BE A GREAT FIT

You have these minimum qualifications:

  • Three (3) years of professional work experience in Technology or related field
  • Two (2) years of overall work experience in data management or data warehousing
  • Experience using SQL queries to gain analysis on data assets
  • Experience using data analysis in a professional setting
  • Ability to travel up to 5%

It would be useful if you have:

  • Bachelor’s Degree, or Associate’s Degree plus 6+ years of Technology related experience, or High School Degree/GED plus 12+ years of Technology related experience 
  • Five (5) + years of professional work experience in Technology or related field
  • Knowledge of hospitality industry data and/or sales data background
  • Experience working with Talend profiling tools and Alation or other Data Catalog software
  • Experience working with Confluence
  • Existing business knowledge of Hilton and its data
