Sales Manager, Complexed (US Remote)
HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT
Your role is important and below are some of the fundamental job duties that make your work unique.
What your day-to-day will be like:
- Represent our resorts by soliciting and responding to persons requiring large and complex group accommodations (generally over 10 guest rooms per night) with or without meeting space and/or on-site (resort) catering, based upon market segment and account files assigned by the Complex Director of Group Sales.
- Represent both resorts in significant interactions dealing with customers relative to sales and operational questions, and issues. Negotiate contracts with customers and commission agreements with third-party agencies
- Initiate the preparation of proposals and contracts to advise prospective customers of the hotel guest rooms, but also meeting space and banquet date, space, and rate availability. Develop and quote prices for same.
How you will collaborate with others:
- Engage in outside sales activities to discuss business opportunities and entertain customers in local and assigned markets (percentage of travel dependent on specific market). Direct site visits and FAM trip programs for respective accounts and participate in tradeshows, industry, and customer events.
- Attend weekly sales departmental meetings and other scheduled meetings to support business operations, e.g., tentative review, lost business review, group-pick up, etc.
- Conduct site inspections with potential customers, visiting guest rooms, meeting space, and banquet facilities, as well as other hotel facilities.
WHY YOU'LL BE A GREAT FIT
You have these minimum qualifications:
- Five (5) years of hospitality sales experience
- Experience in the Group Market
- Proficient with Delphi, MS Word, and MS Excel
- Travel up to 15% of the time to resorts and client events as needed
It would be useful if you have:
- Experience in the Luxury Segment and/or the Incentive Market
