Round Cook - DoubleTree by Hilton Washington DC Crystal City
The beautiful DoubleTree by Hilton Crystal City is seeking a full-time cook to join their team! This 627-room property is half a mile south of The Pentagon near I-395 and the Pentagon City Metro station is only a three-block walk away!
This is a union position that will primarily be supporting banquet operations. Ideal candidates for the role will possess 1-2 years cooking experience in a full-service restaurant, as well as training on knife skills and food safety/sanitation!
Shift Pattern: This position will support AM and PM shifts/ Full availability is required including weekends and holidays
Pay Rate: $23.80 per hour

As a Round Cook, you would be responsible for providing shift relief for breakfast, dinner, station and second cooks in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability. Specifically, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:
- Prepare food items according to designated recipes and established standards
- Prepare and maintain quality control for hot food items including, but not limited to, meat, fish, fowl, sauces, stocks and seasonings
- Maintain cleanliness and comply with food sanitation standards
- Practice correct food handling and food storage procedures according to federal, state, local and company regulations
- Manage guest orders in a friendly, timely and efficient manner
- Ensure knowledge of menu and all food products
- Stock and maintain par levels for designated food station(s)
- Visually inspect all food sent from the kitchen
