As a Pizza Cook you will specialize in making pizzas and other related products based on the established menus or from customized orders in accordance with recipes and established standards in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding service and financial profitability.
Specifically, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:
- Prepare pizza items according to designated recipes and quality standards
- Prepare pizza ingredients by chopping vegetables and cutting meat
- Make fresh pizza dough daily, usually from scratch
- Prepare choices of sauces such as red or white sauce
- Stay up-to-date on pizza products creation
- Develop new recipes for dough, salsas and other pizza related products
- Bake high-quality pizzas that meet the restaurant's standards, leading to customer satisfaction
- Maintain cleanliness and comply with food sanitation standards at all times
- Manage guest orders in a friendly, timely and efficient manner
- Ensure knowledge of menu and all food products
- Stock and maintain designated food station(s)
- Visually inspect all food sent from the kitchen
- Practice correct food handling and food storage procedures according to federal, state, local and company regulations
- Prepare requisitions for supplies and food items, as needed

To be successful in this role, the candidate must also demonstrate the following skills, knowledge and abilities:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Diploma from culinary school preferred
- Minimum 2 years of prior experience as a pizza chef
- Proficient with preparing and baking pizza dough
- Familiar with all professional kitchen equipment (including brick or stone oven, dough sheeters, etc.)
- High understanding of food safety practices and hygiene
- Excellent team spirit with a customer-focused attitude
- Flexible to work in shifts including weekends and late evenings
- Performs well in a fast-paced environment
