Manager, Technology Field Services (Projects) - Asia Pacific
What will I be doing?
The Manager of Technology Field Services (Projects) for Asia Pacific (APAC) will manage and track field technology projects (property technology) for owned, leased and managed hotels in APAC as part of an integrated program management to drive alignment between Hilton Corporate Technology and hotels and deliver operational efficiencies in the business. These projects include but are not limited to: cloud adoption projects, central hotel application upgrades, 3rd party integration requirements, guest experience solutions and regional improvement projects requiring technology engagement and enablement.
- Support the area and engage cross-functional and regional stakeholders for demand planning and project prioritization, manage cross-projects activities’ dependencies and trade-offs and determine investment requirements to meet Hilton Technology standards
- Collaborate with various functional leads and vendors to provide guidance and leadership in ensuring compliance with Hilton Technology standards, project methodology and processes
- Be the main liaison between global technology group and the regional leadership and local hotels to review the requirements and deliverables of the project including scope or work and responsibilities
- Provide regular reporting and communications related to the project including KPIs and program/project status tracking
- Provide analysis on how to mitigate risks/make recommendations to address issues related to projects
- Ensure approved Hilton Technology methodology and tools are used when managing projects
- Create and coordinate individual site project and action plans
- Work with functional leads and Operations to ensure project requirements and timelines are aligned
- Contribute to review and streamlining work processes to increase efficiencies and make sure projects are on schedule
- Ensure all project changes and potential risks are communicated to the relevant parties
- Ensure technology standards and best practices are communicated and implemented
- Review technology requirements of the project and engage relevant Technology SMEs, Security and Legal to determine scope and requirements
- Disseminate, organize and communicate updates and progress regarding the project
- Provide reporting analytics/summaries to stakeholders for key projects on a monthly/quarterly basis
- Provide recommendations and insights by performing data analysis for optimizing project efficiencies
- Communicate, plan and manage the implementation of technology projects as well as project change controls that impact Field Technology
- Coordinate the schedule of various technologies vendors in accordance with the overall project timeline
- Maintain and communicate risks and issues logs throughout the project
- Inform regional senior leadership of project progress and highlight key issues to help the decision-making process objectives
- Responsible for the compilation of documentation related to the project
- Ensure that agreed procurement standards and relevant 3rd parties processes are maintained
- Prepare and submit regular project status report
- Create/maintain project documentation where required
- Leverage existing tools or identify tools for efficiencies and productivity

To fulfill this role successfully, you should demonstrate the following minimum qualifications:
- 7 years professional work experience in Technology or related field
- 4 years project management experience
- Travel up to/around 10%
It would be helpful in this position for you to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions:
- Advanced Degree preferred and/or certification in Project Management
- 9+ years professional experience in Technology or related field
- 5 years in a hotel operations role preferably but not exclusively related to hospitality technology
- Proficiency in MS Power BI, SharePoint, etc
- Global experience advantageous
