What are we looking for?
We believe the success in this role will demonstrate itself through the following attributes and skills:

  • Hands-on experience in BigData, Hadoop, data lakes, and AWS cloud services
  • Hands-on Experience developing ETL Pipelines (batch and real-time) for structured and unstructured data using Scala, Java, Apache Spark, Talend Cloud BigData, Hive, MapReduce, AWS Glue, AWS EMR, and Apache Kafka.
  • Hands-on experience in Hive, AWS Redshift, Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, My SQL, and PostgreSQL
  • Proficiency in performance tuning the ETLs and database solutions for large data sets
  • Quick learner of new technologies and expand skills
  • Proficiency with modern Agile development methodologies (e.g. SAFe)
  • Experience in requirement gathering, analysis, design, code review, and Unit and Integration testing
  • Deliver maintenance and improvements for existing software or packaged applications
  • Great teammate, interested in sharing knowledge with other team members, and shows curiosity about learning new technologies
  • Strong critical thinking skills ownership mentality and continuous learning
  • Self-starters who take initiative in implementing goals, operate with a cool head under time constraints and possess the adaptability to change

To fulfill this role successfully, you should demonstrate the following minimum qualifications:

  • Six (6) years of professional experience in Technology or a related field
  • Five (5) years of experience with BigData technologies and platforms including but not limited AWS, Hadoop, Spark, Java, Scala, Redshift, and Hive
  • Four (4) years of software/platform design and implementation experience.
  • Two (2) years of project lead experience with at least one of these ETL tools (Talend Cloud, Informatica Cloud, or SSIS)

It would be useful in this position for you to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions:

  • Bachelor’s Degree, or Associate’s Degree plus 6 years of Technology related experience, or High School Degree/GED plus 12 years of Technology related experience
  • Any Licenses, Certifications, or Trainings in AWS, Talend, or Informatica
