Head of Global Development Operations
***This role is based at our corporate office in McLean, VA***
This is your chance to be on our Development team who play a large part in driving Hilton's growth strategy through the addition of new hotels to our ever-growing portfolio!
What will I be doing?
As the Head of Global Development Operations, you will serve as a key strategic partner to the Chief Development Officer, driving operational priorities across Hilton's Global Development organization. You will lead Development initiatives that support NUG goals and enable our teams to work more effectively with owners and across Hilton. You will define and execute our Development Marketing strategy, unlocking opportunities to optimize Development operations and performance, and leading our management contract services and owner engagement efforts. You will collaborate with partners across Development, Brand, Strategy, Analytics, Operations, Legal, HR, and Hilton's owner community. As such, the position will require strong interpersonal skills to navigate Hilton's matrixed environment and resolve issues effectively, as well as a strategic and forward-looking mindset to lead initiatives that shape Hilton's global development strategy.
Your responsibilities will also include:
- Strategic Initiatives: Plan and execute global development initiatives, in partnership with Chief Development Officer and Development teams.
- Development Marketing: Collaborate across internal disciplines to establish Hilton's Development Marketing strategy and build a collection of owner-facing materials and Developer toolkits that strengthen brand positioning and ensure consistent quality of sales materials. Support Development teams on custom owner materials through coordination with Brands, Commercial Services, and marketing agency teams.
- Performance Management: Partner with Development Analytics and Strategy teams to support Development leaders in closing business performance gaps and driving results. Collaborate closely with Chief Development Officer to monitor rolling performance and propose solutions to meet NUG goals.
- Operations Support: Oversee US&C RFP support, lead generation and owner analysis, and key money processing for our Development teams.
- Management Contract Services & Owner Relations: Provide leadership for the Americas Management Contract Services and Owner Relations team, driving innovation and operational excellence in franchise and management contract renewals and relicensing.
- Owner Engagement: Lead US&C owner engagement efforts, including event planning, outreach, roadshows, and conference participation, to strengthen owner relationships.
How you will collaborate with others:
- Partner across internal disciplines, including Development, Brand, Strategy, Analytics, Operations, Legal, and HR, to drive and improve processes around the hotel development lifecycle.
- Support Development teams in delivering against ambitious growth targets through effective collaboration and alignment.
What initiatives you will take ownership of:
- Unlock opportunities to optimize Development operations, marketing, and performance.
- Lead our owner management contract services and owner engagement efforts.
- Champion improvements in processes related to deal signing and cross-functional collaboration.

To fulfill this role successfully, you must possess the following minimum qualifications and experience:
- Ten (10) years of experience in Hospitality, with a strong understanding of the dynamics of Hotel Real Estate and the owner community.
- Ten (10) years of experience driving cross-functional initiatives and operating effectively within a matrixed corporate operating model.
- Seven (7) years of management experience.
It would be useful in this position for you to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions:
- Previous leadership in Development for a global hospitality company.
- Experience with Management and Franchise contracts.
