The innovated La Luce is looking for their next Cook I to join the culinary team. The ideal candidate would have 1-2 years of cooking experience with Italian cuisine including homemade pasta and pizza, be excited to take the next step in their culinary career and have knowledge of food safety.
La Luce, Signia by Hilton Orlando Bonnet Creek’s signature restaurant created by famed Napa Valley chef and restaurateur Donna Scala. This modern Italian country kitchen serves dinner nightly and features thin crust pizzas, homemade pasta, Mediterranean-inspired drinks and a Trattoria-style wine program.

What will I be doing?
As a Cook I, you would be responsible for maintaining and setting up food production and quality control of all meats, fish, sauces, stocks seasoning and all other food items in the different kitchen stations such as hot line and cold line.
- Ensures all meals for the restaurant are suitable for consumption according to standard recipes to ensure consistency of product to the guest.
- Visually inspects and uses all food items of the highest quality in the preparation of all menu items.
- Greet guests immediately with a sincere and friendly welcome while in the public area.
- Keeps adequate supply of all prepared products on hand and ensures proper storage of all food products and portion control, ex., especially high cost items.
- Keeps spoilage/ waste to a minimum by utilizing proper quantities and rotating products.
- Keeps all refrigeration, storage, and working areas in clean, working condition to comply within health department regulations
- Organizes and transfer food items into lexans as needed, labels and dates for proper use and identification.
- Turns on/off all kitchen equipment, such as stoves, ovens, grills, broilers, heat lamps, steamers, fryers, etc. and ensures all is in proper working condition.
