Cook I - Arizona Biltmore, A Waldorf Astoria Resort
The iconic Arizona Biltmore is looking for a Cook I to join the Culinary Team!
Located in the heart of the prestigious Biltmore neighborhood in Phoenix since 1929, this gorgeous 39-acre property reopened in May 2021 after undergoing a $100 million renovation. This iconic hotel has over 700 rooms, over 200,000 square feet in banquet space, and 8 food and beverage outlets (including 2 restaurants, 2 pools, 2 bars, a gelato shop/café, and in-room dining).
The ideal candidate will be a team player, have the ability to work well under pressure, a drive for continuous learning, and a passion for culinary and hospitality. Prior professional cooking experience is required. Must have or be willing to obtain Food Handler's Certification at time of employment.

- Shift: Various - must be available to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays.

What will I be doing?
As a Cook I, you would be responsible for preparing food items in accordance with recipes and established standards in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding service and financial profitability.
- Maintain cleanliness and comply with food sanitation standards at all times.
- Prepare food items according to designated recipes and quality standards.
- Manage guest orders in a friendly, timely and efficient manner.
- Ensure knowledge of menu and all food products.
- Stock and maintain designated food station(s).
- Visually inspect all food sent from the kitchen.
- Practice correct food handling and food storage procedures according to federal, state, local and company regulations.
- Prepare requisitions for supplies and food items, as needed.
