Join two of San Francisco’s most iconic hotels — the 1,921-room Hilton San Francisco Union Square and Parc 55 San Francisco - a Hilton Hotel the 1,024-room  — as our Complex Assistant Director of Property Operations. In this critical leadership role, you will help oversee the functionality and safety of our facilities to protect the well-being of our guests and team members, all while driving operational excellence, guest satisfaction, and financial performance.

What Will I Be Doing?
As the Complex Assistant Director of Property Operations, you will serve as a key leader in maintaining the safety, functionality, and operational excellence of both hotels. Partnering closely with the Complex Director, you will play a critical role in ensuring our facilities operate seamlessly, remain in peak condition, and meet or exceed all regulatory, brand, and guest expectations.

In this role, you will:

  • Oversee Facility Safety & Functionality – Assist in directing and managing the full spectrum of building operations, including physical structures, mechanical equipment, electrical systems, HVAC, life safety systems, and grounds, ensuring all systems meet Hilton brand standards and comply with federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Lead Inspections & Project Oversight – Conduct comprehensive facility inspections; direct and coordinate construction projects, system installations, preventative maintenance, and repairs across all electrical, mechanical, and architectural systems to optimize efficiency and safety.
  • Manage Maintenance Workflow –Track, verify, and document all routine maintenance and repair work through the property maintenance management system, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and quality standards.
  • Ensure Compliance & Regulatory Readiness – Serve as a liaison with city, county, and state agencies to maintain required permits and licenses, coordinate inspections, and ensure full adherence to codes, safety regulations, and operational protocols.
  • Support Capital & Renovation Projects – Assist in the planning, scheduling, and execution of capital improvement initiatives, major repairs, and large-scale property rehabilitations, ensuring minimal disruption to guests and operations.
  • Develop & Lead High-Performing Teams – Monitor and guide team member performance - coaching, conducting evaluations, fostering career development, and recognizing exceptional contributions.
  • Drive Talent Acquisition & Onboarding – Recruit, interview, and train team members to uphold Hilton’s exacting operational and service standards, creating a culture of excellence and accountability.
  • Act as Property Operations Leader – Serve as the acting head of Property Operations in the absence of the Complex Director, ensuring consistent leadership presence and decision-making continuity.
  • Champion Special Projects – Lead and execute special assignments, process improvements, and operational initiatives that enhance efficiency, sustainability, and guest satisfaction.

·         Experience – Previous leadership in hotel property operations, facilities management, or engineering, with experience in large-scale or complex properties (1,000+ rooms preferred).

·         Technical Expertise – Strong working knowledge of building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and life safety systems.

·         Leadership Skills – Experience leading unionized teams with a focus on coaching, accountability, and engagement.

·         Organizational Strength – Ability to prioritize competing demands in a high-volume, fast-paced environment while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.

·         Communication & Collaboration – Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships across departments and with outside agencies.

The annual salary range for this role is $160,000 to $180,000 and is based on applicable and specialized experience and location.
