What will I be doing?

As a Catering Manager, you will be responsible for the supervising of contracted groups and social event food/beverage and meeting room revenues and experiences, room block supervising, negotiation of supplier services. Ensuring event planner satisfaction while meeting and or exceeding department and individual revenue goals. 

  • Communication to internal and external clients via telephone, email, written documents or in person Handling phone calls, e-mails and greeting clients for Catering and Events in a professional, courteous manner.
  • Inputting programs in booking systems, managing VIP guest arrangements, and coordinating site visits.
  • Creating and communication of documents including but not limited to wedding BEOs, group resumes, post event reports, menus, diagrams/floor plans.
  • Working with affiliate groups.
  •  Assist with clients and deliver on the client’s expectations.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of job systems, products, booking systems, and processes.
  •  Make decisions and solve problems by analyzing and evaluating the issues and determine the best solution for the client.
  •  Ensure high quality service by communicating and assisting others to understand the guest needs.

 The rate of pay for this role is $90,000 - $105,000 per year and is based on applicable and specialized experience.

What are we looking for?

We are looking for a Catering Manager who is dedicated to upholding the elevated standards of service expected at our Forbes 5-Star hotel. This role involves not only coordinating exceptional catering services but also proactively engaging with clients to ensure every culinary experience is flawless and memorable. You will be the primary point of contact for event clients, working closely with them to understand their culinary preferences and dietary needs, ensuring that every menu exceeds expectations. By leveraging your attention to detail, organizational expertise, and passion for delivering outstanding service, you will play a key role in creating extraordinary events that reflect our commitment to luxury, excellence, and Forbes 5-Star standards.

  • Must have 1-2 years previous hotel experience.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
