Catering Manager - Palmer House a Hilton Hotel
Exciting opportunity in Chicago! Join our dynamic team at the iconic Palmer House, a Hilton Hotel. We are seeking a Catering Manager to detail and execute corporate & social events for our beautiful property. Due to a recent promotion, this role offers a chance to be part of a renowned team dedicated to delivering exceptional event experiences.
What will I be doing?
As Catering Manager at The Palmer House, you would be responsible for the successful execution of written sales agreement for corporate and social events up to 250 guests.
- Maintains liaison between customer and their representatives and the hotel by directing each hotel department as to their specific role in the pre-planning and execution of on-site social event.
- Maximizes revenues and controls expenses through effective negotiation of prices, services, and accurate forecasting.
- Responsible for successful execution of event and customer satisfaction to ensure customer remains loyal and books future business with hotel company.
- Direct and supervise meeting and/or catering logistics to catering and event services managers and other affected departments and team members responsible for event execution.
- Provide guidance to Operation Managers to help ensure events are executed as planned.
- Creatively design menus and events to maximize revenue and event experience.
- Prepare and present catering forecasts and reports as required by Director of Catering.
- Coordinate with Dir. of Catering in formal planning for and execution of corporate, weddings and social events at the hotel from 2- 250 guests.

What are we looking for:
- 1 + years catering/events experience required
- Flexible scheduling is required based on group business
- Wedding experience, and knowledge of Kosher and/or Southeast Asian experience is preferred
Pay Rate: $28.84 (based on applicable and specialized experience and location)
