Banquet Supervisor - Hilton Aruba Caribbean Resort & Casino
Operational Leadership & Event Execution
· Lead and supervise banquet operations including setup, service and breakdown, for all functions, including meetings, conferences, social events, weddings and inhouse meetings and events.
· Execute events according to Banquet Event Orders (BEOs), ensuring accuracy, timing, and service flow.
· Conduct pre-event roll calls/briefings to align the team on service standards, safety, guest expectations and go over the Banquet Event Order’s details
· Act as the primary on-site contact for clients during events, resolving issues proactively and professionally.
· Coordinate closely with Events, Culinary, Engineering, Housekeeping, Stewarding, Security and Pool & Beach, to ensure seamless delivery.
· Post banquet checks daily after the culmination of the events
· Inspect function rooms prior to events to ensure proper setup, cleanliness, equipment readiness, and brand compliance.
· Oversee breakdown, storage, and reset of function spaces and equipment.
· The upkeep of cleanliness of our indoor and outdoor event spaces
· Prepare and deliver a Supervisor report after each event to the Banquet Manager, Event Manager and Director of Catering & Events
Team Leadership & Development
· Supervise, coach, and motivate Banquet Servers to deliver world-class service following the sequence of service guidelines and procedures, as set forth by management
· Support recruitment, onboarding, and training of banquet team members in partnership with the Banquet Manager.
· Provide real-time performance feedback and participate in performance evaluations.
· Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
Service & Guest Experience Excellence
· Ensure consistent delivery of Hilton service standards and brand behaviors.
· Drive guest satisfaction by anticipating customer’s needs, resolving concerns with a sense of urgency, and creating memorable experiences.
· Monitor service quality, presentation, and guest interaction throughout each event.
Safety, Compliance & Financial Stewardship
· Enforce all health, safety, sanitation, and liquor regulations.
· Ensure compliance with Hilton policies, local labor laws, and operational standards.
· Support cost control through proper staffing, inventory handling, and equipment management.
· Monitor labor deployment and productivity to support financial targets.
Administrative & Planning Support
- Assist with event planning, scheduling, and staffing forecasts.
- Support inventory management and control for linens, equipment, and all banquet supplies.
- Maintain accurate records, event documentation, and operational checklists.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and service innovation.
In addition to the core responsibilities outlined above, the Banquet Supervisor is expected to perform the following supportive functions to ensure operational excellence, guest satisfaction, and alignment with Hilton brand standards:
Support the Banquet Manager with daily operational planning, staffing rosters, and labor optimization.
Prepare and participate in weekly BEO meetings by reviewing all details on the Banquet Event Orders
Liaise with Events, Culinary, Engineering, Housekeeping, Stewarding, Security and Pool & Beach to ensure alignment and readiness.
Monitor and replenish banquet supplies, coordinate purchasing requests, and linen par levels.
Assist with training delivery and onboarding.
Ensure side work standards are executed (polishing, stocking, equipment readiness, cleanliness).
Support payroll inputs, attendance tracking, and schedule adherence.
Assist with incident reporting, guest feedback capture, and corrective action follow-up.
Perform other related duties as assigned to support operational excellence in othns

- Experience in hotel
- Experience in similar function
- Secondary Vocational Education (EPI / MBO or equivalent); Hospitality Management certification
- Passion for delivering exceptional levels of guest service
- Legal right to work in Aruba, including a valid work permit, Firma Liber (unrestricted authorization), or Aruban citizenship with a Dutch passport
