Software Engineer, Automation
HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT
Your role is important and below are some of the fundamental job duties that make your work unique.
What your day-to-day will be like:
- Build and support automation solutions using Blue Prism
- Provide production support by solving Incidents/Problems and participate in continuous improvement efforts
- Use .NET or other development languages to build new automation capabilities
- Deliver maintenance and enhancements for existing automation solutions
- Adhere to coding standards / procedures and participate in code reviews
- Ensure that all solution development is aligned to architectural standards throughout the Agile development process
- Assist Tester in designing and ensuring overall integrity of the test plan
- Apply software development knowledge to the current IT environment
How will you collaborate with others:
- You will work with build managers, architecture domains and IT disciplines as part of the Corporate Systems build team.
- You will work independently with minimal oversite to follow requirements and develop solutions
- You will be a critically important technical resource deployed within the context of business technology solution delivery projects to ensure overall stability and performance of our work-class applications
What deliverables you will take ownership of:
- Create a technical specification and product design from published requirements
- Demonstrate a proficiency in technology in use to code/configure quality solutions that require limited rework and meet business / end-user needs by adhering to best practices
WHY YOU'LL BE A GREAT FIT
You have these minimum qualifications:
- Professional work experience in Technology or related field
- Direct experience in software development using languages such as C#, .NET, Java, or Python
- Familiarity with automation platforms such as Blue Prism, UiPath, Automation Anywhere, or similar RPA tools
- Experience collaborating with multiple teams through the entire software development lifecycle
- This is a hybrid role and would require to be near one of our three US office locations (McLean, Dallas, Memphis)
- Travel up to 15% of the time
It would be useful if you have:
- Bachelor's Degree, or Associate's Degree plus 3+ years of Technology related experience
- Knowledge in AWS environments
- Knowledge with AI/ML technologies
- Proficiency in CI/CD tools like GitLab
