Server/Waiter/ess/Order-taker (F&B)
Room Service - Server/Order taker: you would be responsible for answering all telephones, dispatches via 2-way communication system and generates computerized reports to ensure department compliance with service standards and be responsible for serving food and/or beverages to guests in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability. What will I be doing?
As a Room service server/order taker, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:
Handle team member and guest request by delegating to the appropriate individuals and follow up to ensure department and hotel standards are met.
- To answer the phone within three rings using correct salutations and telephone etiquette
- maintain the computerized Work Order System. Wi-Q, open Tables, OnQ. This requires logging and recording all service requests, implementation, distribution, and closing of all Work Orders.
- Present a positive, professional, and courteous image, to ensure guets satisfaction
- Maintain the brand's high-quality standards
- Respond to guest requests in a timely, friendly and efficient manner
- Take guets food and/or beverage orders and input orders in appropriate point of sale system
- retrieve and deliver food and beverage orders in a timely manner
- ensure guets satisfaction throughout the meal service
- Ensure serving station is well-stocked at all times
- Hotel room layout, proper room service table set-ups, room capacity, hours of operation, price range and dress code.
- Be familiar and implement amenity set ups and standards for VIP's Monitor and ensure that all tables, room trays are cleared and accounted for to department procedures
- Maintain complete knowledge of:

- All liquor brands, beers and non-alcoholic selections available in restaurant
- The particular characteristics and description of every wine/champagne by the glass and major wine on the wine list
- Designated glassware and garnishes for drinks
- All teas and coffees products: service procedures
- All food product served in the restaurant
- All menu items, preparation method/time, ingredients, sauces, portion sizes, garnishes, presentation and prices.
- Daily menu special. 86'd items
- Dining room layout table/seat/station numbers, proper table set-ups, room capacity, hours of operation, price range and dress code.
- Point of sale and manual system procedures
- Daily house count, arrivals / departure, VIPs
- Schedule in-house group activities, locations and times
- Correct maintenance and use of equipment
- All department policies/Service procedures
