What will I be doing?
As the Senior Manager Hilton Garden Inn (HGI) Development in China, this position will support the overall growth strategy in the region in its efforts to originate leads for new hotel projects. Works with the wider Development team in its efforts to ensure all development goals, key measurements and targets in the region are met or exceeded. Responsible for collecting data for, preparing and submitting owner applications. Prepares committee documents for all deals that need a further level of approval.
Responsibilities Senior Manager Hilton Garden Inn (HGI) Development Greater China & Mongolia(GCM), will include but are not limited to the following:
• Evaluates and identifies business opportunities for further expansion of the HGI brand and directs
accordingly.
• Assists in the strategic planning, development and coordination of the region’s sales activities to advance
Company goals, while communicating key messages to internal and external stakeholders.
• Build solid network in the industry to support HGI’s growth in China
• Conducts market specific research and compiles reports for the team, provide practical best practices to
assist with team’s performance.
• Perform reporting work, follow up on ads and keep organized records of all market visits, meetings,
competitive analysis, etc.
• Uses the Business Intelligence tools to research markets and potential opportunities or restrictions for
development.
• Designs and prepares departmental reports and presentations (i.e. charts, graphs, tables, business plans).
• Works with key stakeholders and departments within the Global Architecture, Design, and Regional Operations
to ensure the objectives are accomplished.
• Organizes meetings and events with external stakeholders to increase awareness of Hilton’s positioning in
the market.
• Works to expand our relationship and footprint with existing owners in the system and closes individual
franchise and management agreements in adherence with corporate budget.
• Increases network of potential new owners.
• Works with other team members as instructed within the region assisting with volume of requests to
accomplish department goals.
• Completes special projects as required.
• Represent and attend local industry events.
What are we looking for?
The success in this role will demonstrate itself through the following attributes and skills:
• Knowledge of management contracts and franchise license agreements as well as alternative structures
• Ability to close franchise and management contract deals as needed
• Ability to analyze departmental financial data in order to make strategic and tactical decisions.
• Absolute discretion and confidentiality regarding sensitive information.
• Strong problem solving skills.
• Ability to evaluate and identify opportunities from a strategic perspective, including ability to develop,
prioritize and implement plans to meet organization’s core strategic goals.
Required Qualifications
• Minimum Years of Experience: 10+ years
• Management Experience (type): Managerial
• Minimum Years of Management Experience: 5+ years
• Specialized Experience: Experience and proven success in Real Estate or Feasibility Analysis and knowledge
of complex management and franchise license structures.
• Additional Requirements (i.e. % of travel time, etc.):
• Ability to travel as required (approximately 50%)
