What are we looking for?
To fulfil this role successfully, you must possess the following minimum qualifications and experience:
- Extensive experience ideally in a Government Affairs in-house, representative/trade body or agency position.
- Excellent communications skills – written, interpersonal and verbal.
- Ability to understand, synthesize and integrate complex issues in presentations, messaging documents and other communications with internal and external audiences.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Strong organizational skills including ability to manage multiple issues/campaigns in various geographies.
- Proactive. A self-starter with the ability to work independently.
- Networker and coalition builder.
- Strong understanding of current affairs and international relations particularly Whitehall and Westminster and Brussels.
- Fluent written and spoken English
- Creative and strategic thinker.
It would be advantageous in this position for you to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions:
- Experience working for decision makers ie UK or European Parliament.
- Responsibility for development and execution of stakeholder engagement campaigns – in UK and Brussels.
- Fluency in additional languages.
