HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

Your role is important and below are some of the fundamental job duties that make your work unique.

What your day-to-day will be like:

  • Drive activities that align with the Americas Communications strategy and objectives, with an emphasis on showcasing Hilton's managed hotels within the U.S. and Canada via earned and owned media, while protecting and enhancing hotels’ reputation.
  • Lead activities that create storytelling that reinforces our commitment to growth, innovation and culture.

How you will collaborate with others:

  • Collaborate on an editorial calendar for proactive storytelling that features Americas-managed hotels, with a primary focus on the U.S. and Canada portfolio.
  • Work alongside the Americas communications team in the execution of regional initiatives that support the team's objectives, with a focus on U.S. and Canada media, markets and hotels.
  • Enhance relationships with U.S. and Canada hotel-level marketing and PR teams to keep a steady pulse on hotel news and facilitate storytelling opportunities.
  • Be a consultant for U.S. and Canada hotel-level communications needs, ensuring hotel messaging aligns with Hilton's broader enterprise strategy and that Hilton enterprise stories can be brought to life at hotels, working with the global Consumer and Commercial communications team.

What deliverables you will take ownership of: 

  • Lead U.S. and Canada hotel development PR and opening PR strategy and activities.
  • Manage U.S. PR consultant/agency daily activities and support media relations and opportunities.
  • Identify and build relationships with target media across the U.S. and Canada.
  • Manage crises and issues communications across the Americas hotel estate.
  • Be a trusted advisor on external communications to senior Hilton stakeholders and liaison to internal partners across the region.

WHY YOU'LL BE A GREAT FIT

You have these minimum qualifications:

  • Seven (7) years of work experience in Communications.
  • You have collaborated in a matrix organization in a global business environment.
  • You are experienced in creating and measuring communications strategies and have experience in crisis communications.
  • You can work EST hours and travel within the East Coast time zone
  • Travel up to 35% of the time.

It would be useful if you have:

  • BA/BS bachelor's degree in communications, public relations, or related field.
  • Large global organization or top-tier communications agency experience.
  • Hospitality industry experience.
  • Fluent in Spanish.
