Senior Lead Splunk Software Engineer

HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

Your role is important and below are some of the fundamental job duties that make your work unique.

What your day-to-day will be like:

• Manage Hilton's Logging-as-a-Service solution and related hardware infrastructure and support our Splunk and Cribl infrastructure.
• Build Big Data correlations, using Splunk’s search language (SPL), and apply best practices to user search and dashboard requests.
• Develop alerts, reports, and dashboards to meet the requirements of partners and scalable security management processes.
• Provide support for our co-managed Enterprise Security search environment.

How you will collaborate with others:

• Work with teams across Hilton Technology to gather functional requirements to document and develop logging solutions.
• Work across Hilton's Global Information Security team to support our enterprise security posture.

What projects you will take ownership of:

• Automate Splunk patch currency reporting to end-users.
• Develop enhanced request workflows for Splunk changes.

WHY YOU'LL BE A GREAT FIT

You have these minimum qualifications:

• Seven (7) years of professional work experience in Technology or related field
• Five (5) years of work experience administering Splunk in a large environment
• Experience with scripting languages such as Python and Bash
• Experience working with Linux
• Experience of Splunk platform architecture and components
• Experience configuring data ingestion methods, including forwarders, HTTP Event Collector (HEC), db_connect, and scripted inputs
• Experience in multiple security technologies to operate and maintain the Splunk log management infrastructure
• Travel up to 10%

The annual salary range for this role is $120,000-$165,000 and is determined based on applicable and specialized experience and location.
