What are we looking for?
We believe the success in this role will demonstrate itself through the following attributes and skills:
- Deep understanding and leadership of production, branded content, editorial-style newsgathering, and digital/social storytelling.
- Proven track record of using a flexible and efficient “create once, publish everywhere” framework to content creation and storytelling.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, nimbly shifting between focusing on the big picture to zooming in on the details.
- Lead and mentor a team that serves as the technical, conceptual, and planning authorities on editorial-style video production, photography, and AP writing style to prioritize and deliver storytelling.
To fulfill this role successfully, you should demonstrate the following minimum qualifications:
- Seven (7) years as a leader with direct report(s) in a notable public relations, communications, or content operation. Your responsibilities focused on concepting, collaboration, production, writing, editing, distribution, intake/review processes
- Three (3) years of content creation or editorial leadership experience
- Excellent written, public speaking, collaboration, and presentation skills, including with senior executive audiences
It would be advantageous in this position for you to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions:
- BA/BS Bachelor's Degree or MA/MS Master's Degree in related field
- Ten (10) years of related professional experience
- Five (5) years of editorial or content creation leadership experience
- Technical expertise in photography, video production, studio management, and digital asset management
- Newsroom and/or video production experience at a major news media outlet
- Hospitality industry experience
- Experience working within a large, matrixed organization, preferably a global organization and/or best-in-class communications agency
