Senior Content Designer

What are we looking for?

The success in this role will demonstrate itself through the following attributes and skills:

Research:

• Engage with Research & Optimization and CRM teams to ensure users’ content needs and expectations are met
• Collaborate with research and testing to identify learning opportunities

Design:

• Facilitate content audits and content discovery sessions
• Write in-product messaging, interface copy, product education materials, navigational nomenclature, and other content
• Maintain and help evolve content standards, standard methodologies, guidelines, principles, and taxonomies for various audiences and initiatives
• Build sitemaps, content audits and content architecture documents
• Partner with UX and UI designers to craft the user experience through language, components, and interaction patterns
• Proofread content prior to publishing
• Collaborate closely with product and business partners to ensure collection of all relevant information/content
• Participates in internal and partner reviews to ensure products meet business and user objectives

Lead:

• Excellent written and spoken English
• Assists less experienced staff.
• Coordinate freelance copywriting workloads, standards and processes

Strategy:

• Chip in to the product strategy and roadmap
• Work with all 18 brands to establish a strategy for balancing implementing content standards and tone of voice across digital product.
• Keep tabs on competitor products and industry trends

To fulfill this role successfully, you should demonstrate the following minimum qualifications:

• Five (5) years of professional work experience in Technology or a related field
• Three (3) years of experience writing digital content
• Experience with web and mobile platforms
• Understanding of accessibility standards
• Superb communication, presentation, storytelling, interpersonal and analytical skills

It would be useful in this position for you to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions:

• Bachelor’s Degree, or Associate’s Degree plus 6+ years of Technology related experience, or High School Degree/GED plus 12+ years of Technology related experience
• Seven (7)+ years of professional work experience in Technology or a related field
• An online portfolio or samples of work demonstrating experience
• Experience working with remote teams
• Experience in an agile/scrum environment
• Commitment to learning and growing professional and technical knowledge
