What will I be doing?

As a Lease and Capital Senior Accounting Analyst, you will support the Manager of Lease and Capital Accounting (Record to Report) to ensure accurate accounting and reporting of global lease and capital assets. This role supports compliance with accounting standards and statutory requirements, whilst ensuring robust financial controls, and driving continuous improvement across the RTR function. 

Key Responsibilities
- Be a trusted partner in ensuring accurate accounting and reporting for global lease and capital assets.
- Review new lease agreements and amendments to guarantee compliance with IFRS16/ASC 842 across multiple jurisdictions.

- Maintain lease files, ensuring supporting documentation is complete and accurate.

- Prepare monthly journal entries and support accurate and timely delivery of month end close reporting.

- Prepare balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring sufficient and appropriate evidence to support month end balances.

 - Support audit readiness and maintain robust documentation for compliance with SOX and other financial controls. 
- Collaborate with diverse teams (e.g., Consolidations, Statutory Reporting, Hotel Operations, Real Estate) and engage with external auditors as required.

- Leverage data analysis tools (Excel, Power BI, Tableau) to drive performance insights and interventions.
- Champion a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.

 

What are we looking for?

Required Qualifications & Experience
- A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. 
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with a keen eye for detail

- Proven experience in asset accounting or high-volume transaction environments.
- Excellent communication skills in English and proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

Preferred Experience
- Advanced excel skills and experience with financial systems, e.g., Oracle PeopleSoft, Navision, Blackline.
- Knowledge of IFRS 16/ ASC 842 and capital accounting principles.
- Proven track record in process improvement and stakeholder engagement.
- Background in Shared Services or outsourcing environments.

- Experience managing large volumes of data.
- Professional accounting qualifications (CA, CIMA, ACCA, AAT) or working toward one.
