Senior Analyst, ESG

What are we looking for?

The success in this role will demonstrate itself through the following attributes and skills:

• Demonstrated ability to analyze and distill large datasets to inform strategy and evaluate progress with proficiency in MS Excel with strong statistics and data analysis skills.
• Exceptional project management, organization, and collaboration skills.
• Ability to perform advanced analysis of utility data; inquisitive and able to discover and resolve the root cause of anomalies.
• Strong communication skills and ability to explain results and findings to management verbally, visually, and in written format.
• Sound judgment and professionalism with a high level of initiative and proactive problem-solving.
• Ability to work across global, virtual, and cross-functional teams.

To fulfill this role successfully, you should demonstrate the following minimum qualifications:

• Three (3) years of data analysis experience
• Experience handling and analyzing environmental impact metrics, reporting, and measurement, particularly carbon and energy management.
• Analytical and reporting experience with particular emphasis on emissions and energy reporting.
• Experience in data visualization tools such as Power BI, and Tableau.
• Advanced MS Excel skills including pivot tables, power query, VBA, macros, lookups, and statistical functions.

It would be useful in this position for you to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions:

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
• Knowledge of data management associated with carbon reporting standards, internal/external ESG reporting, ISO certification, and third-party frameworks and programs such as CDP, DJSI, ENERGY STAR, GRI, UN SDGs, TCFD, and SASB, and science-based target methodologies.
• Familiarity with process automation using tools such as Power Automate or Alteryx.
• Familiarity with and/or scripting experience, preferably with Python or R.
