The award-winning AAA 5-Diamond Waldorf Astoria Monarch Beach Resort & Club is seeking a Senior Accounting Payroll Analyst to join the Accounting Team!

Located in the beautiful coastal town of Dana Point adjacent to Laguna Beach, this town played an iconic role in the emergence of California's surf culture and today is celebrated for its laid-back vibe and fun, active lifestyle.

The resort is perched on 175 acres atop a 150-foot seaside bluff with over 400 rooms, 115,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor meeting space, and 8 food and Beverage outlets. This includes 4 restaurants, a beach club, lounge, marketplace, and IRD.

Classification: Full-Time

Shift: Typical Business Hours 

Pay Rate: The pay rate for this role is $35 per hour and is based on applicable and specialized experience and location.

What will I be doing?

As a Senior Accounting Payroll Analyst, you will be responsible for managing clerical operations related to payroll administration for the hotel. Your duties will include overseeing and auditing timecards, payroll earnings, and compliance with CA Wage and Hour regulations, along with other tasks necessary for processing payroll for hotel team members.

 Job Responsibilities 

  • 40% Processes payroll for hotel team members, including processing and balancing of tips, gratuities, service charges, incentives, etc.
  • 40% Reviews accuracy of payroll, earnings, and deductions and reports all discrepancies to supervisor. Work closely with department leaders to audit and correct payroll issues and discrepancies.
  • 20% Prepares payroll reports, conducts annual record retention procedures, assist in processing monthly, quarterly, year-end closing including payroll balance sheet reconciliations, hours and dollars audits, leased labor audits & penalty pay summary recaps.
  • Processes hours and payroll for hotel team members. Reviews accuracy of payroll and deductions and reports all discrepancies to supervisor. Prepares payroll reports, conducts annual record retention procedures, assists in processing quarterly, year-end closings (Disability, W-2's). Processes tips and gratuities.
