Regional HR Director AIO
What will I be doing:
This role will lead the Hotel HR function for Team Members across Africa and the Indian Ocean, partnering with the Area Operations Team to oversee Hilton's dynamic, growing markets. You will be a key change agent responsible for implementing the HR agenda to drive the team member and guest experience.
You will be responsible for driving the talent agenda for the region, which includes scaling our teams and resources and aligning processes to meet growth over the next several years. Additionally, you will play a key role in developing HR and leadership capabilities across our teams.
While you'll need experience in all aspects of HR and strong business partnering skills, we're looking for a passionate and innovative leader with a demonstrated ability to partner and align across diverse stakeholders in hospitality.
• Partner with stakeholders to develop first-hand knowledge of short and long-term business goals and objectives.
• Provide guidance and leadership to the direct team, HR community and the leaders in the region.
• Ensure talent strategies are implemented to meet the performance needs of each property and overall regional targets, now and in the future.
• Support the growth in the region by working closely with the new openings team and onboarding new hotels.
• Ensure that the best local talent gets hired, is welcomed, and will grow with Hilton.
• Develop the skills and capabilities of the HR teams in the region, building a world-class HR offering to support business needs.
• Review resource needs and ensure qualitative recruitment, selection, onboarding, and the development of leaders at the hotel level, and enable the right competitive compensation models.
• Drive optimisation work to ensure cost competitiveness and positive cost development.
• Drive wellbeing and flexibility across the region for all team members.
• Proactively manage hotel HR standards, ensuring compliance with local labour law and Hilton standards and data accuracy.
• Drive our culture and employee value proposition by being visible and focusing on exceptional storytelling.
• Champion all programs that ensure a great place to work for all in hotels in the region.
What are we looking for:
We seek a creative and engaging leader with a business and people-centric mindset who can solve challenges effectively and creatively while maintaining high flexibility, professionalism, and integrity.
To fulfil this role successfully, you will bring with you:

Experience and passion for hospitality, ideally from within the hotel sector.

Several years in an HR leadership role across the full spectrum of HR with multi-site or above property experience.

A drive to be in the operations, engaging with the teams and driving positive change and innovation.

Experience in developing and leading successful teams.

Strong commercial acumen and ability to build successful relationships at all levels.

A mature and confident coach and advisor.

A can-do attitude that can solve problems.

Fluent in English.
