Position: Purchasing Clerk
Location: Hilton Istanbul Bosphorus
About the Role:
As a Purchasing Clerk, you will play a key role in supporting the hotel’s procurement process, ensuring that contracts are effectively negotiated, goods are sourced efficiently, and records of transactions and vendor performance are meticulously maintained. You will work closely with the Hotel Management and other team members to ensure all purchasing activities adhere to Hilton standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Obtain competitive quotations for hotel requirements and ensure that the best products are sourced, utilizing Group Nominated suppliers where applicable.
- Maintain up-to-date information on locally nominated suppliers.
- Manage the database of active local contracts with suppliers and ensure all records are accurate.
- Ensure the Purchasing Manual is current and in line with Hilton standards.
- Adhere to quality procedures and oversee purchasing administration to ensure compliance with Hilton policies.
- Maintain a record of commitments for all budgets and provide regular updates to relevant senior managers.
- Implement a comprehensive system for allocating and reconciling purchase orders.
- Monitor all areas of purchasing, including contracts, leases, and nominations.
- Prepare accurate and timely month-end accounts reports.
- Execute tasks and requests as instructed by the Hotel Management team.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Strong financial knowledge and ability to work with budgets.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Excellent time management, organizational skills, and attention to detail.
- Fluent in English and Turkish, with strong communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience in the hotel or leisure sector.
- Prior experience in a similar purchasing role.
- Relevant degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related business discipline.
