A Payroll Manager is responsible for the maintenance of accounting records related to payroll processes and reports.

What will I be doing?

As Payroll Manager, you will assist with the maintenance of accounting records related to payroll processes and reports. You will be expected to complete assigned payroll responsibilities to the highest standards. Specifically, you will be responsible for the following tasks:

  • Perform and supervise the maintenance of accounting records and provide related financial reports for the hotels.
  • Lead the Payroll team in managing communications with FAAST regarding payroll.
  • Assist with the month-end process as it relates to payroll costs, ensuring all work is completed on time and all relevant accounts are reconciled.
  • Input month-end payroll and overtime accruals.
  • Ensure accuracy when inputting hours into the payroll system.
  • Build strong working relationships with the Assistant Director and Director of Human Resources to ensure accurate salary history input.
  • Ensure Team Member payroll queries are resolved in a timely manner.
  • Monitor actual hours worked versus contracted hours.
  • Ensure effective controls are in place over payroll expenses.
  • Work with the Finance Manager to enhance payroll function efficiency.
  • Act in accordance with fire, health, and safety regulations, following correct procedures at all times.

What are we looking for?

A Payroll Manager serving Hilton brands works on behalf of Guests and collaborates with other Team Members. To successfully fill this role, you should demonstrate the following attitudes, behaviors, skills, and values:

  • Rigorous commitment to accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Good understanding of financial operating systems.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Previous experience in Accounts, Finance, or Human Resources.

It would be advantageous if you demonstrate:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field.

  • Proven experience as a Payroll Manager overseeing payroll for more than 600 employees.

  • Experience working with labor unions.

  • Knowledge of signed tips and service charge administration.

  • Experience with the PeopleSoft system.

  • Experience in the hotel, leisure, or retail sector.
