A Nurse is responsible for nursing functions at the Hotel to cover guest and team members along with handling all insurance contracts for team members. 

Direct Reports:

The Nurse will be reporting directly to the Assistant Human Resources Manager/ Hotel Doctor or any designated Manager.

 

Qualifications

The success in this role will demonstrate itself through the following attributes and skills:

  • Provide medical attention to team members and guests
  • Respond to guest and team member requests in a timely and professional manner
  • Counsel team members and guests in cooperation with the hotel doctor
  • Supervise all insurance contracts (medical, life and cancer insurance) and produces accurate, well presented documentation and statistics on monthly basis 
  • Maintain up to date, accurate filing of medical and insurance related issues
  • Update information about insurance classes for team members on the system in a timely manner
  • Maintain First Aid Boxes
  • Ensure a timely communication with insurance related stakeholders regarding new hires, separations and status changes
  • Maintain the highest level of confidentiality in discussions with internal /external customer
  • Submit invoices promptly to ensure no additional finance charges are incurred
  • Submit reports within the agreed deadlines
  • Monitor and handles queries/complaints from team members
  • Update information about sickness in a timely manner
  • Follow the correct procedure for requisitioning and ordering
  • Provide administrative services for the medical plan and maintains up to date records for the medical plan
  • Consistently perform job functions with attention to detail, speed and accuracy
  • Establish and upkeeps par levels for supplies and equipment for the effective Nursing care
  • Monitor health and safety risk factors for the property

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing
  •  Minimum Years of Experience: Minimum 1 year of related experience
  • Ensure that information is communicated throughout the company
  • Any Licenses or Certificates Required: Registered Nurse with all the relevant qualifications in emergency care
  • Positive attitude and good communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs
  • Ability to operate and maintain a HR system
  • Ability to read and comprehend instructions and correspondence; write correspondence and memos. 
  • Ability to carry out the basic mathematical functions of addition, subtraction, multiplication and division. Ability to interpret data
  • Ability to apply common-sense and display good judgement, when interacting and problem solving with team members and guests
  • Ability to work unsupervised
  • Commitment to delivering a high level of customer service
  • Excellent grooming standards
  • Flexibility to respond to a variety of different work situations
  • Ability to work on your own and as part of a team
  • Counselling Skills
  • Participate in necessary training and request training to meet development needs

Preferred Qualifications

Previous experience working as a Nurse in a hotel environment
