Mobile Quality Engineer

As a Mobile Quality Engineer, you will bring your technical skills to a hospitality company with an award-winning culture. On the QE team reporting to the Director Mobile Quality Engineering, you will support assigned projects including:
- Influence the inclusion of testability during development phases to release high-quality features
- Work with mock data and proxy tools like Charles and GraphQL API layers

HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT
Your role is important and below are some of the fundamental job duties that make your work unique.
What your day-to-day will be like:
- Plan, write, and implement test plans and test cases of iOS and Android native apps on devices (e.g. iPhone, Android, tablets, and watches) including exploratory, regression, and End-to-End-user Testing
- Identify quality problems and end-user issues using problem-solving skills
- Write clear, detailed bug reports, ensuring they provide actionable information for troubleshooting (e.g., steps to reproduce, screenshots, videos)
How you will collaborate with others:
- Work with team members to help discover and eliminate issues through testing end-users and workflows
- Support the testing needs of an engineering pod to ensure feature releases
- Test on-site at property locations as required
What projects you will take ownership of:
- Participate in the rebuild of Android and iOS apps through coordinated testing.
- Test new features from design to deployment to customers
WHY YOU'LL BE A GREAT FIT
You have these minimum qualifications:
- Professional work experience in Technology or related field
- Experience in mobile applications quality assurance and native mobile app testing
- This is a hybrid role and would require to be near one of our three US office locations (McLean, Dallas, Memphis)
- Ability to travel up to 10%
It would be useful if you have:
- Bachelor’s Degree, or Associate’s Degree plus 6+ years of Technology related experience, or High School Degree/GED plus 12+ years of Technology related experience
- Three (3) + years of professional work experience in Technology or related field
- Experience working with debugging tools such as Charles Proxy or Postman to test APIs, capture network traffic, and analyze data for potential issues.
- Experience with Agile delivery
