Manager SEC Reporting
HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT
Your role is important and below are some of the fundamental job duties that make your work unique.
What your day-to-day will be like:
- Research the accounting/disclosure requirements of new accounting standards and transactions, considering relevant accounting literature and the effect of the new standard or transaction on Hilton’s accounting policies and financial documents
- Prepare consolidated financial statements and related footnotes for inclusion in quarterly reviewed and annually audited financial statements, ensuring compliance under U.S. GAAP and the SEC reporting requirements, as applicable
- Prepare the earnings release, documents to support the earnings call, and additional needs of the Investor Relations team
- Prepare subsidiary financial statements for multiple reporting obligations, ensuring compliance with all reporting and disclosure requirements under U.S. GAAP or other standards, as applicable
How you will collaborate with others:
- Collaborate with the Technical Accounting team to understand recent transactions to research disclosure impacts
- Collaborate with multiple teams to obtain data needed to prepare SEC filings and subsidiary reports
What you will take ownership of:
- This role is very collaborative; all team members are expected to take ownership of their tasks and to understand the underlying transactions and support
WHY YOU'LL BE A GREAT FIT
You have these minimum qualifications:
- Five (5) years of work experience in public accounting or similar accounting field.
- You are a CPA, CA, or equivalent.
- Experience disaggregating, analyzing, and reconciling consolidated financial data.
- Understand general accounting policies at a transaction level.
It would be useful if you have:
- MA/MS Master's Degree
- Experience with SEC reporting, working with Workiva (WDesk) and iXBRL
- Experience working with general ledger systems and reporting packages, specifically PeopleSoft and Hyperion Financial Management
