Manager, Project Support - Strategic Operations
HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT
Your role is important and below are some of the fundamental job duties that make your work unique.
What your day-to-day will be like:
- Develop Python-based Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) pipelines to create reports and tools
- Author complex SQL queries and stored procedures for data extraction, aggregation, and reporting
- Build Excel-based financial and operational tools using VBA (macros, custom functions, PivotTable automation, Power Query integration)
- Integrate with RESTful APIs, managing secure authentication and credential storage (e.g., keyring)
- Profile pipeline performance—optimize Python code (cProfile) and SQL execution plans
- Document ETL processes, data models, and maintain a centralized data catalog
How you will collaborate with others:
- Partner with RMCC teams, Analytics, BI, and Commercial Services teams to translate use cases into scalable data products
- Mentor junior analysts and developers in Python, SQL, and VBA best practices; lead knowledge-sharing workshops
- Provide strategic advisory to business and technical partners on analytics best practices and data-product adoption
- Collaborate with partners to define and measure performance metrics and evaluate data-product impact
What projects you will take ownership of:
- Architect performance-outlook dashboards and self-service reporting tools that surface revenue and commercial trends
- Develop CI/CD pipelines for automated testing and deployment of analytics data products.
- Design data models (star/snowflake schemas) to support reporting
- Ensure compliance with security and data-governance policies, including secure credential management and access controls
- Own and maintain project artifacts in GitLab, including housing SQL queries, data models, and supporting documentation using version control best practices to enable collaboration, reuse, and scalable analytics delivery
WHY YOU'LL BE A GREAT FIT
You have these minimum qualifications:
- Five (5) years professional experience in analytics/data-engineering roles
- Experience authoring complex SQL (Redshift, SQL Server, MySQL) and stored procedures
- Three (3) years coding development experience (macros, automation, PivotTables)
- Proficient in Python (ETL frameworks, pandas, NumPy) and advanced Excel (Power Query, functions)
- Demonstrated experience in data storytelling, including leading discovery with cross‑functional teams to understand needs, translating those needs into clear narratives, and delivering storytelling‑driven dashboards that improve decision‑making and operational efficiency
- Travel up to 10%
It would be useful if you have:
- Understanding of data-modeling principles (star/snowflake schemas)
- Partner and project management experience translating business needs into technical requirements
- Experience with BI tools: MicroStrategy, Alteryx, Power BI
- Experience with Airtable, Salesforce, GitLab, and Power Automate
