Based in Hilton’s Singapore Area Office, the Marketing & eCommerce Consulting (MECC) team drives commercial performance by enabling hotel and cluster teams with Marketing best practices and guidance through engagement, empowerment and consulting support. The candidate will be a part of a performance-driven team, focusing on working with property teams to leverage Hilton Marketing Engine, systems and processes effectively.


HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

The Manager is a key member of the hotel consulting team; collectively responsible for the marketing and online channel performance of over 170 hotels (and growing) through a combination of proactive and regular reactive consulting support across Asia Pacific (excluding Greater China and Mongolia region).

The Manager will be responsible for delivering empowerment initiatives and consulting support designed to enable hotels to drive increased market share and revenue. This role is critical in ensuring hotels have the right marketing plans in place to support their commercial objectives, enhance competitive online presence and visibility to drive online channel performance. The Manager will provide hotels with best-in-class guidance across multiple subject matters and topics, including but not limited to marketing planning, paid media, content management and optimization, retailing, social media and SEO, and connect hotels to wider enterprise initiatives and the marketing engine at Hilton.

This role will also be responsible with the Team to create and maintain efficient workflows and processes that will support hotel and market needs, as well as leading specific projects that deliver enterprise value in collaboration with various departments across Global Marketing & Loyalty, Regional Marketing & eCommerce Consulting, and Commercial Services. Specifically, the candidate will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

Hotel Consulting Support 

  • Provide proactive and reactive marketing and eCommerce guidance for operating hotels whilst achieving established SLA and support standards
  • Lead as the Marketing & eCommerce subject matter expert and support operating hotels through hotel’s trading lifecycle from post-opening to trading
  • Develop a plan and strategy to ensure Hilton branded hotels are best represented on Hilton channels as well as third party sites such as OTA’s
  • Provide and deliver regional and hotel level performance insights by channel and geography through proactive consulting support

Hotel Communications & Engagement

  • Develop and deliver Marketing & eCommerce resources, tools and training to upskill and reskill hotel talents 
  • Build enterprise knowledge and leverage Marketing & eCommerce Consulting best practices to empower hotels to have the right marketing plan to help drive commercial results
  • Manage and maintain a robust calendar of hotel engagement and communication activities to drive hotel participation of enterprise programs and deepen understanding of Hilton marketing engine, systems and processes
  • Exercise appropriate and expert judgment in upward communication regarding hotels as well as property-level communication to hotel stakeholders

Enterprise Projects and Initiatives

  • Lead incremental projects that support team goals and enterprise growth, from planning to operationalizing and innovation
  • Lead continual evaluation of processes and procedures by identifying areas of opportunities to improve team operations, efficiency and support to both property and above-property teams
  • Collaborate with regional functional teams in Americas and EMEA on enterprise projects and global priorities, ensuring APAC requirements are accounted for in global roadmap and initiatives

You have these minimum qualifications:

  • BA /BS /bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, media or related field
  • 5+ years of related professional experience
  • Strong leadership, adaptability and planning skills
  • Outcome and performance focused
  • Desire and ability to learn while working in a fast-paced environment
  • Effective communication, collaboration and presentation skills
  • Experience working with stakeholders across different levels of seniority
  • Excellent project management capabilities to stay on top of details, deliverables and anticipate and propose solutions to potential roadblocks to keep activities on track
  • Strong proficiency in web and marketing performance analytics, with experience in marketing performance analysis at regional level
  • Strong analytical skills and confidence in working with data and reports
  • Excellent prioritization and decision-making skills with proven ability to manage multiple priorities and projects with deadlines
  • Ability to work effectively and influence others in a matrixed environment including working within and among teams and influence others at all levels to move projects forward
  • Experience in strategically developing and executing marketing strategy plans 
  • Solid through-the-line marketing expertise with priority on digital marketing and content management
  • Experience in developing, leading and planning a strategy to optimize brand presence on owned and third-party sites 
  • Self-motivated, able to work independently as well as part of a team effectively
  • Ability to travel 10% or as required

It would be useful if you have:

  • 7+ years of related experience
  • Experience working in the hospitality and/or travel industry, especially in a regional capacity or corporate role
  • Japanese or Asian language proficiency is a plus to support the key local market(s)
  • Regional experience working across different APAC markets
  • Working knowledge in analytics and CRM platforms such as Adobe Analytics/Customer Journey Analytics, MicroStrategy, Salesforce CRM and Oracle Eloqua
